Style Alchemist is a personal styling practice. You work with a real stylist who chooses pieces for you, keeps your wardrobe, and answers your questions. Everything here describes that service and the software it runs on.

The business is Style Alchemist, LLC, and these terms are governed by the law of Minnesota.

Glinda is software, not a person. She is our assistant. She is not your stylist, she is not a member of staff, and she has no judgement of her own about you. Anywhere you are talking to her directly she will say so, in her first message, every time.

She drafts. Gara sends. Nothing Glinda writes reaches you until a person has read it and chosen to send it. When you get a reply, a human decided you should get that reply.

What she knows about clothes is not advice you can rely on. She is sound on what a thing is: what houndstooth is, what a capeline is, how a fabric behaves. She is not reliable on what is currently the case: whether a piece is still made, who designs for a label now, what something costs, whether a shop has your size. She will state those confidently and she may be wrong. Check anything that matters with Gara, and please do not treat something Glinda said as a promise that a piece exists, fits, or is available.

She does not tell you where to buy things. That is Gara's work and it is what you are paying for. Ask Glinda for a link and she will pass the question on.

You can tell her not to read your messages. It is a setting, you can change it back whenever you like, and it takes effect from the moment you set it rather than reaching backwards. If you turn it off, Gara reads your messages herself, in full, which can take a little longer. The privacy policy says what she reads and why.

You need to be 18. Below that we would not open an account, because this is a paid service built around an adult's wardrobe, her measurements and her photographs.

An account is for the person being styled, and it is one person. You give us your sizing, your photographs and things you would tell a stylist and not a room, so it is not an account to share with a household or hand to somebody else. If you are booking on behalf of another adult, she should have her own.

Sign in is by a link sent to your email, so your email account is the key to your Style Alchemist account. Keep it to yourself, and tell us if you think somebody else has it.

Please put in things that are true. A stylist choosing clothes from your sizing and your photographs can only be as good as what she is given.

They stay private. They live in private storage, they are never at a public web address, and they are shown to you and to your stylist through links that stop working after an hour.

We use them to style you, and for nothing else unless you say so. Not a portfolio, not training anything, and never shown to another client.

Marketing is a separate yes. You can give us permission to use your photographs in our own marketing, and if you never touch that setting the answer is no. Silence is not permission here.

You can take that permission back at any time. When you do, we stop using them and we take them down from anywhere we control. We want to be honest about the limit of that: something already printed, or already shared onward by somebody else, cannot be recalled. That is the reason the permission is asked for rather than assumed.

Membership is billed through Stripe. We never see your card.

You can cancel yourself, from your account, without asking anybody. Cancelling stops the next payment and your membership runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. Nothing is deleted when you cancel, and you can export everything before or after.

A session you booked and did not use is not refunded. That is what a doctor or a therapist would do, and we would rather you read it here than hear it at the moment it happens.

If you are not happy with your first session, we will make it right. That is a real promise and we would rather say it plainly than bury it.

We have not yet settled how long you have to tell us, whether it is the whole amount back, or who decides. Those are being worked out. Until they are, ask and we will sort it out with you, and we would rather say that than print a number nobody has agreed to.

Everything we hold about you can be exported in one file, whenever you ask.

If you want something deleted, or all of it deleted, ask your stylist and a person will do it by hand. There is no button for it yet, and we would rather say so than imply one exists.

Styling is judgement, not a guarantee. Gara is very good and she will sometimes choose something you do not like, and that is what the passing, the returning and the conversation are for.

We do not sell the clothes. When you buy a piece you buy it from the shop, on their terms, and returns and faults are between you and them. We will help you sort it out.
